E-Type filter heads are easily interchangeable. Because of this, they are
often interchanged. I've seen enough of these problems to believe that
Jaguar themselves often used whatever part was on the shelf, especially
around the transition years. If you are buying a conversion kit, it's important
to visually verify which filter head is on your car. Just match to the
following photos (click on photos to enlarge.) Buy a kit to match the filter
head, regardless of which engine or model you have. |
